Wonderful news for the endangered southern resident population of killer whales! J16 Slick was seen with a calf today! The calf, whose identification is J50, was seen swimming in his or her mothers slip stream.

J16 Slick is about forty-two years old. Her new calf is born into J7 Sucia’s sub group. J50 has a brother, J26 Mike, a sister J42 Echo, and another sister J36 Alki! The last time J16 has a calf was in 2011 when J48 was born, but didn’t survive. •
Help make the future bright for this new calf! Sign the petition in my bio, asking Washington state representatives to support the removal of dams, preserving SRKW food source!
