Veiled woman with high hat keeping goats – Haḍramawt, Yemen

Those
women live in the Hadramout area, a very dry one in summer time… They
keep the sheeps and the goats under a hard sun in the dried wadis. The
tradition is to wear the full black dress, the gloves, the veil, and
also this giant hat. The fact that it is so high allows the air to stay
