Balancing shape and texture. The plan of this urban garden is bold and simple, holding the eye. The garden presents a green picture from the various levels of the house that it serves. While the firm shape of the design is softened by foliage forms, it is still strongly evident. A weaker layout would have become merely a collection of plants.
